Itās been a while since I put any thoughts to paper. Though the samĀple portĀfoĀlio I creĀatĀed is doing quite well with over a 48% raise in the three years since I startĀed thinkĀing about the project āthe Elephant in the Room has a Paycheck.ā
Over the weekĀend, I sketched out a more focused table of conĀtents in the hopes that itāll be easĀiĀer to ship. It looks like this:
- Introduction. When I first learned that my monĀey could make monĀey while I was doing someĀthing else, it was love at first sight.
- Dividends. The gift that keeps on givĀing.
- Isnāt stock marĀket investĀing risky? Yeah, but we can make deciĀsions that make it less so while still capĀturĀing the benĀeĀfits we want (income).
- The Elephantās Paycheck Investing Strategy. Hereās how I invest.
- What should I do first? This will be step-by-step, even for peoĀple who have nevĀer investĀed before.
This outĀline doesĀnāt address all the things Iād like to evenĀtuĀalĀly share (you can see the full list on the 401K rollover landĀing page) but is a great way to start. I imagĀine itāll be a great primer for peoĀple tryĀing to figĀure out how to get startĀed and creĀate a basic habit of savĀing for the future.
Itās time to get writĀing. Wish me luck.
ā Update February 12, 2016
I noticed in my anaĀlytĀics log that someĀone saw this post, but that I havenāt updatĀed it. I released the book on PDF last August and itās sellĀing quite niceĀly. Iām workĀing through some final edits before I have it forĀmatĀted for print/Amazon/iTunes.
Iāve also begun semĀiĀnars to help groups of peoĀple underĀstand how to build long term wealth. In parĀticĀuĀlar, Iāve givĀen preĀsenĀtaĀtions to groups of peoĀple whoāve lost their jobs and want to know what to do with their 401(k) monĀey (othĀer than cash it out!)
Let me know what you think
