From my own experience, earning money is only part of the battle. Not spending what you earn, and turning it into sustainable wealth is the other part. Possibly the harder part.
In my book, I talk about my own journey. Having earned a lot before I was 30, I had to learn “what next?”. Without being driven by career success, how does one approach balancing ambition, lifestyle, and personal growth?
I have been completing the final book edits, so rereading a lot of my book. I truly enjoy the memoir part of my book as much as the teaching part (and hope you do too!). This was all on my mind when I came across an article this morning: ‘art is not in making money, but in keeping it’.
It’s easy to look at others incomes and imagine earning a lot would solve problems. The reality is, if you’re not careful, increasing your income only increases your obligations. You end up continually chasing some future instead of being able to slow down and enjoy the present.
